Corn syrup is the only sweetener that does not crystallize and retains moisture in the cooked food mass, which helps foods it has been added to have a more delicate texture, look fresher and stay dry. It also adds bulk and flavour to the product.

 

Corn syrup is used in confectionery and bakery industries.

In the dough, the syrup delays the hardening of the finished product. Corn syrup is present in many recipes for candies, fondants, marshmallows, nougat, Turkish delight, mastic (fondant), etc. to protect products from sugaring.

The syrup is made from corn starch and has a thick consistency; clear, white, 100% glucose, and non-GMO.
